Janet:
In the velvet darkness,
Of the blackest night,
Burning bright,
There’s a guiding star.
No matter what or who you are.
Brad & Janet:
There’s a light…
Chorus:
Over at the GNF place.
Brad & Janet:
There’s a light…
Chorus:
Burning up the human race.
Brad & Janet:
There’s a light, … light … in the darkness of everybody’s life.

God save me from cluelessness. That was an Olivia Newton-John song from Edward Scissorhands !!

No, “Heart Light” or whatever it’s called. That was Elton John, right?
I have never seen all of Edward Scissorhands despite having a huge crush on Winona Rider at the time it came out (now I don’t even know how to spell her last name). Now that’s cluelessness.

What it is in fact, is There’s a Light Over at the Frankenstein Place from near the beginning of Rocky Horror. GNF substituted for Frankenstein and “burning up the human race” for “burning in the fireplace”.
I am not recognizing the supposed Elton John song.

G0od for you:
Turn on your heart light
Let it shine a [blank]y glow
for all the world to see…
and more of that crap for a whole pop song. Ugh. I’m still suffering PTSD because of it.
